At 6’3 , the senior has anchored the front line for the Lady Dragons with a blend of grace, strength, and timing that’s made her one of the most respected middle blockers in Texas high school volleyball. A TCU commit , Young has turned consistency into her calling card — both in her play and her preparation.

This season, she’s posted 242 kills across 87 sets , averaging 2.8 kills per set while hitting at a .375 percentage . Her efficiency and control around the net have stood out all year, and her latest performance against Byron Nelson only reinforced it — 15 kills , just one error , and a .609 hitting percentage over four sets.

But what truly separates Young isn’t just the stat line — it’s how she moves. For her size, she’s remarkably fluid. Her ability to transition laterally, find her angle, and explode vertically without wasted motion gives her a versatility that most middle blockers don’t have.

She’s built that foundation over time. Young has trained under Southlake Carroll’s strength coach Doug Castleberry , and spent the last eight years competing with Texas Advantage Volleyball (TAV) , one of the nation’s premier club programs. She’s also worked privately with Jarrett Phillips and Garrett Hale at TrainPMT in Southlake, sharpening her movement, coordination, and positional control.
