DALLAS–FORT WORTH, Texas — North Texas continues to produce college-level soccer talent, with four girls soccer players securing opportunities to continue their careers at NCAA Division I programs.

Leading the group is FC Dallas standout Alaia Harrington, who has committed to the University of North Carolina. She joins Taylee Wood, Brooke Baldwin and Ella Brinkerhoff among the area prospects making their college destinations known.

The four athletes represent different positions and club programs across North Texas. Their inclusion is not a ranking.

Alaia Harrington of FC Dallas ECNL committed to North Carolina women's soccer

Alaia Harrington is taking her soccer career to one of the most recognized programs in women’s college soccer.

The FC Dallas attacking standout announced her commitment to the University of North Carolina in September 2026, adding another milestone to a growing national recruiting résumé.

Harrington has attracted attention for her ability to create scoring opportunities, hold possession under pressure and connect with teammates in the attacking third.

Prep Soccer evaluators have highlighted her first touch, awareness, passing and ability to generate chances from distance. During one showcase appearance, Harrington scored twice from outside the penalty area against Arlington.

Her development has also earned recognition at the international youth level.

In October, Harrington was selected for the U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team training camp, scheduled for October 23–31 in Kansas City, Missouri. The camp includes two matches against England on October 27 and October 30.

For Harrington, the UNC commitment and national-team recognition represent significant steps in a promising soccer career.

She has also represented Prosper High School, a program with an established history of competing at the state’s highest classification.

Wood was part of Prosper’s 2024 squad, which advanced to the UIL Class 6A state semifinals following a strong postseason run.

Her development through high school and elite club competition helped establish a path to Division I soccer.

At Louisiana Tech, Wood will have an opportunity to continue developing as an attacking player while representing North Texas at the collegiate level.

Sting Black defender Brooke Baldwin has committed to Baylor University, giving the Bears another Texas prospect in their future recruiting pipeline.

Baldwin’s commitment appeared in October 2026 recruiting coverage, identifying her as a member of the 2028 graduating class.

Competing in the Elite Clubs National League with Sting Black, Baldwin has developed within one of the region’s established girls soccer club systems.

Her commitment to Baylor provides an opportunity to continue competing at the Division I level while remaining in her home state.

Baldwin is another example of the recruiting opportunities available to North Texas players through elite club competition.

Brinkerhoff’s decision was included in TopDrawerSoccer’s October recruiting coverage, placing her among the Class of 2027 players announcing Division I commitments.

She represents Sting Royal, another North Texas club program competing within the ECNL system.

Brinkerhoff’s commitment gives her the opportunity to continue her soccer development at New Mexico while joining a Division I women’s soccer program.

Her announcement adds another name to the growing list of North Texas athletes moving from competitive youth soccer into college athletics.

North Texas Soccer Talent Continues to Find Division I Opportunities

From FC Dallas and the Dallas Texans to Sting Black and Sting Royal, North Texas club soccer continues to provide athletes with pathways to the next level.

Harrington, Wood, Baldwin and Brinkerhoff will head to four different college programs, each carrying experience from the area’s competitive soccer environment.

For DUB Sports Media, these commitments are part of a larger effort to recognize athletes across multiple sports throughout Dallas–Fort Worth.

As the next high school soccer season approaches, more North Texas players will look to earn college opportunities of their own.
